Our SOS Artists Our
SOS artists were discovered as we were putting together our campaign in
winter of 2003. A board member spotted a wall of striking, brilliantly We are a children's organization, and we think that our story -- of happiness, of hope, and of possibility -- is best told by children. coloured self portraits in the hall of a local school: Bridgeport Public
School in North Kitchener. The Grade One teacher, Kathy Gingrich, kindly
agreed to approach the children and their parents for permission to use
the artwork for Send'em Off Smiling. The result is one of the most charming
and impactful set of images you will see anywhere.
